Georgia’s Premier Youth Sports Venue
If you have young athletes in your life, LakePoint Sports is a must-see destination. The 1,300-acre campus is just 25 minutes northwest of Marietta by car. The massive indoor and outdoor venues include basketball and volleyball courts (both indoor and outdoor); a multipurpose field for soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and football; and even a three-lake wakeboarding park. That means Lakepoint can serve athletes participating in 30 different sports, including gymnastics, cheerleading, wrestling, and even pickleball.
The venue’s flagship Champions Center is 170,000 square feet and features the world’s largest continuous wood floor,” said Marietta accident lawyer Ramiro Rodriguez, Jr.
If you’re wondering just how big that is, picture 12 full-court basketball games or 24 full-court volleyball games running in tandem. If there’s a basketball tournament indoors, volleyball players can head out to serve, set, and spike in the complex’s 10-court beach volleyball pavilion. And that’s not to mention the onsite concessions, hotel rooms, and meeting rooms. Even non-athletes can enjoy the beautiful grounds and the Champions Center for conferences and meetings.
If your young athlete is playing a game or tournament on-site and you aren’t able to attend in person, LakePoint has you covered there too. Every game and event can be streamed through LakePoint live from a feed collected by 130 high-definition cameras throughout the campus. Georgians are lucky that this premier sports venue calls our state home. Young athletes from across the country come to LakePoint to train and compete year-round.
Though they have a national presence, LakePoint strives to serve the greater Atlanta area through an initiative designed to serve kids in Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Floyd, Fulton, and Paulding counties. This includes sports camps, local sports leagues for youths and adults, homeschool PE classes, and tumbling and gymnastics programs. Outside the sports realm, the venue is a great local place for meetings, team-building events, trade shows, and more.
Check out their upcoming events and see if there’s something a young athlete in your life might want to participate in by visiting LakePointSports.com.
